The Eintracht Frankfurt Museum receives the main award of the Julius Hirsch Prize 2021. This announced this German Football Band (DFB) known on Monday.
Thus, the DFB honors the sustainable and comprehensive work of the museum in the field of exploration, work-up and, above all, the contemporary and broad placement of the history of the association in the Nazi time. The honor takes place on 22 November in the Frankfurt palm garden.
The museum opened in 2007 is dedicated to the centrally critical confrontation with the club life in National Socialism among the focus on research, mediation and creation of memorial sites. With its projects, the museum not only within the association and its followers and fans scene quite different target groups, their perception is sufficient beyond the club and the boundaries of Frankfurt, says in the justification of the DFB jury.

With the prize donated in 2005 reminiscent of the seven-time international Julius Hirsch murdered in 1943 in the extermination camp Auschwitz, the DFB distinguishes annually associations, initiatives or individuals who publicly use for democracy and human dignity, and counteract anti-Semitism and any form of discrimination. The other award winners 2021 are the association company games E.V. and the FC Victoria Wittenberg.
