PS Plus version of Final Fantasy 7 finally gets free PS5

Final Fantasy 7 Remake has already appeared last year, but had offered some innovations in 2021 and could increase the number of players through various offers. The most important event was clearly in March 2021 when the remake was part of the PS plus-lineup.

At that time, however, only the PS4 variant was offered and the PS5 upgrade, which appeared three months later, was not included in the subscription and cost full price. That should change now this week just before Christmas.

Free upgrade despite PS plus : Accordingly, on December 22, 2021, all players inside, which have secured the PS4 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake at PS Plus in March 2021, can perform a free PS5 upgrade at PS Plus. That was not possible before. The only prerequisite is that you have added the game in March to your library — the game is now not once again part of the plus offer.

You get this : With this upgrade you have access to the entire main game for the PlayStation 5. In addition to improved loading times, a 60 FPS mode and a photo mode, better textures come into play. That is, with Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is also the famous, very muddy door story:

Is that a sign of change for PS plus?

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is not the only game at PS Plus, which was only offered in the PS4 version, although a PS5 version existed. It was only this month with Mortal Shell only the old edition instead of the advanced and improved, which has appeared for the PS5. That had very disappointed many fans already after the announcement.

Come even more PS5 upgrades? This change now could be at least one sign that Publisher has set itself apart with the feedback. Even though it comes very late, the upgrade offer must be taken up positively and maybe in the future of other games could also be made up.

But the other direction would be fair to the player inside, who may not have or want to have PS5 yet. This year, there were games like Wreck fest, A Plague Tale: Innocence or Odd world: Soul storm only in the version for the PS5. It remains exciting whether other manufacturers will connect Square Enix.

How do you find the decision of Square Enix? Will you play Final Fantasy 7 Remake again?
